Chocolate Chip Cheesecake Dip

Chocolate Chip Cheesecake Dip.
Need I say more?

This is one of those recipes that I only make once-in-a-while. Why?
Because I want to eat the entire dang bowl all by myself! That's why!
I mean, c'mon...butter, cream cheese, and two types of sugar all blended together and studded with chocolate chip morsels?
Not too much gets better than that! Am I right?

I've made this for gatherings on a few different occasions.
I like it because it can be tossed together quickly and I typically have all of the ingredients on hand.
You can always add different things in place or in addition to the chocolate chips.
One of my favorite add-ins would be chopped walnuts!
It's like a delicious chocolate chip walnut cookie. Ummm...yum!
I recently just took new snapshots for this post because I really had no clue what I was doing with a camera the first time I made it for my blog.
I made this for New Year's and it was a hit.

I had to keep a close eye on my daughter because she would be quick to stick her finger in and lick it and attempt to double dip her finger.
Gross, yeah. I know. But she's six...and I really want to do the same thing!!
I know better though, instead I just kept inhaling an endless stash of holiday pretzels coated lightly dipped with the cream cheese goodness.

Just remember to serve this at room temperature, or just slightly chilled. Otherwise it is too hard to scoop out with a pretzel or graham cracker without it breaking. I like to keep a spoon in it so people can add it to their plate and dip from there.
It is easy to whip up and can served with anything you like. We like Nila Wafers with it also!
I'm pretty sure that at my next work potluck I'll remember to add this to the line-up of food!
