Berry Sausage Breakfast Sammiches

If you are looking for something new to spruce up your boring old breakfast sausage biscuit routine...then this is the sammich for you!
My hubs loves the term "sammich" that's why I'm calling these Sammiches, he is the one who introduced these to our household, after all.
A guy he works with has these for breakfast and brought one to the hubs.
He was instantly in love with them.
Now, we have to make them almost weekly. I have to admit, I really enjoy these also!

They are filling, full of flavor, and are super easy to make! Total win in my book!

You could buy pre-made sausage patties for these, but we just buy the one-pound package of sausage and make our own patties. Just remember to make them indented well in the middle because they puff up a lot while cooking.
Also, use the flaky layer refrigerated biscuits...they pull apart easier for these.
You could probably use any sort of jam you prefer...but we use red raspberry. Because, well, they just go together so well in this combo. I can't imagine trying any other jam with them.

1 pound groud sausage
1/2 cup red raspberry jam
1 tube flaky layers refrigerated biscuits (8 biscuits)

Preheat oven to 350.
Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and bake in the oven until golden brown.
Divide the sausage into 8 patties, making the indention in the middle of each patty to help decrease the puffiness.
Cook the sausage patties in a skillet over high heat, until thoroughly cooked.
Drain sausage patties on paper towels.
Remove baked biscuits and split each in half.
Spread a tablespoon of jam on one inside half of each biscuit.
Place a sausage patty on the other half and make your sammich.
